![]() Melissa R. Mendelson "Haunted By Regret" Thanks for supporting independent writers, artists and musicians! |
Independence The world, my castle, has been destroyed and rebuilt, but time keeps it as it should be, my world, my home. Here I can chase dreams despite the weight of the real world forcing me to work to live. The beauty of the sky travels for eternity, and I can still stop to look up. My dreams silently soar high despite the chains around my ankles, anchoring me to this cold ground. The thirst of life fills me each day, and with the spare time given when I do not have to work, I think of what I want to do to bring life to my dreams. This is my world, my castle, where I live and dream each day, and despite the weight of the world, I'm still free. ©2008 Melissa R. Mendelson |
