"Insecure Twilight"

Walking at the hour of midnight
I came upon a mysterious place
Trapped in this place by an empty smog
Surrounding me like an endless cave
I looked to a large oak tree for comfort
"Oh! branch out, shelter thee"
Now safe in natures strong arms
I looked around for my eyes to study the insecurity,
of this place.......
In a V shaped form sparrows swooped down
Then back up again into the heavens they went
Just then a creepy song from crickets began to play
As if rehearsed a million times
Each tone was the right pitch, not a key was out of place
This sent chills up my spine my teeth began to chatter
As if the sound of my fear was purposed to change
The crickets redundant song
The wet grass below me
Shined as if it had been soaked with glitter
Reflecting a twilight all around
It was then I realized why the misty smog captured me this night
At this hour and in this comforting tree that gave me a higher view
As the midnight hour rings in every night this place plays
Leaving nothing behind but a lonely insecurity
For no one sees nor hears this repeat show
Nor the purpose of why it plays
Yet, through me now some shall
Perhaps be captured upon a silent smog as well
And have their own story to tell about this creepy place
Hidden by the darkness of midnight
Yet reflecting the beauty of an insecure twilight.
